World Changing Whispers

I was at a Christian Aid event last night which we jointly hosted in Helsby, entitled “Once And For All”. In one of the presentations I was struck by the phrase “World Changing Whispers” and wanted to put that into a montage. The child in the foreground is someone who collects cardboard all day and sells it on for a few pence (image taken by Bernard Atkinson). The main image of money (taken by Twelvebaskets) is what we take for granted for buying anything from the essentials to the luxuries. There is something abhorrent for me in the two visuals that accentuates the divide between our two worlds.

Sometimes we might feel that any contribution we make is like a drop in the poverty ocean. Yet over time and if others join in, then our whisper of compassion can be a great crescendo that no longer can be ignored.

Thanks for those that attended and contributed to last night.
