I’ve just returned from Greenbelt where a deluge of rain hit the festival on Saturday. The pristine turf usually reserved for the finest horses money can buy became a quagmire approached by a variety of footwear. Some people even taking the opportunity to get at one with nature, in bare feet! Yet despite the weather, the interesting aromas coming off some people and the exhaustion from trying to do too much, I came away with a desire to engage in life. Yes the end of the holiday season was over and the reality of a lot of work over the next few months, but the experiences at Greenbelt seem as though they will sustain me. I will blog about the high points in the next few days but I am now washed, smell sweet and had a good night sleep, even though the alarm went off at 6:30 for work!
