Naked Spirituality

I’m reading Brian D McLaren’s book Naked Spirituality at the moment and was moved by the word “here” in one chapter. Perhaps it wasn’t Brian’s motivation, but I was struck by the moment in time that I find myself in. How easy it is to pass by “here” without grasping the magnitude of it. Either to dwell on where I have been or to plan where I am going, rather than grasp the moment. Hence the cobbled together mishmash of stones and old concrete within my step. “Here” doesn’t have to be elaborate or spectacular, it just simply is, and within it I have a full connection with myself, society, the planet and with God. “Here” is a pretty good place to be!
