Easter Story Explained

I’m doing two assemblies this week on a general theme of Easter. It’s never easy explaining the full Easter story to children from the ages of four to eleven. Maybe the video above has got something to say not only to children but adults as well. The Easter message isn’t purely historical but alive for today, in the context that we find ourselves in.  It isn’t only past, but very much present and future and my challenge is making the story real and relevant to children today. No shoe boxes will be harmed in the formation of this assembly, but I hope the children’s imagination and wonder will be ignited.
