I happened to be in Sainsbury’s today at 11:00 am on 11th Day of the 11th Month. The store requested that the two minute silence be kept by those in the store. It was the most moving Armistice Day Remembrance I have experienced. Tills and busyness ceased, chatter ended and we all stood in silence. It was just a shame that the automatic till kept asking every 30 seconds if the embarrassed man would like to continue.
